h. 9.30 AM Meeting with a licensed tourist guide in Como. Walking tour to the historical center in order to discover the jewels of that beautiful lakeside city. Founded by the Romans, it is surrounded by medieval walls on its three sides. The tour will include a pleasant walk along the lake, to enjoy the view of some villas and important rationalist style buildings and will continue towards the ancient core of the city, admiring some cute squares enriched with works of art. The Cathedral is its best-known monument, thanks to its Gothic and Renaissance features. At the end of the tour, you will have a special Italian wine tasting at a cute wine concern in the city center, where you will be given the possibility of buying some bottles of local wine, too. In the afternoon by cableway onto the cute village of Brunate to enjoy the panorama over the lake. Visit to the parish cute church and a pleasant walk in order to admire the Art Nouveau style, which characterizes many XX-century villas. The tourist destination is well-known also for Volta Lighthouse Tower, a 29-meter high octagonal tower, built in 1927.
