THE HERMITAGE OF ST. CATHERINE WITH AN APERITIF ON BOARD

h. 10.00 AM or 3.00 PM Meeting with a private licensed tourist guide at Stresa, “the pearl of Lake Maggiore”. Leisurely and panoramic transfer by private taxi-boat from Stresa to the Borromean Islands to enjoy the panoramic view of the Borromean Gulf and of the two lakeshores. The first part of the cruise will be along the western lakeshore, in order to admire the parks and the buildings on Isola Madre, Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori from the lake itself. The second part of the cruise will be along the eastern lakeshore, which is the deeper. The taxi boat, skirting the amazing lombard shore of the lake, close to Laveno Mombello will reach another jewel of the lake: the Hermitage of Santa Catherina del Sasso. Guided visit to the religious complex, founded by the merchant Alberto Besozzi in 1170. Superb its location, clinging to the rock near the deepest zone of the lake. The convent is an ideal destination for its peace and spirituality as well. During the cruise a tasty aperitif will be arranged; so you could sip a glass of Italian wine, eating some finger-food, feeling like a V.I.P!
