A BIKE EXPERIENCE FROM LAKE MAGGIORE TO OSSOLA VALLEY

h. 9.00 AM Meet with licensed private tour guide in Feriolo di Baveno for a leisurely circular tour of about 25 km. After an introductory briefing, a path along the Toce River, flanked by low-traffic roads and bicycle paths, will lead to the discovery of a lush nature reserve, where you can admire birds and wildlife. A brief stop in Candoglia, a place of relevant importance for its quarries, from which the precious marble used for the construction of Milan Cathedral was extracted, and depart again toward Vogogna admiring, first, the largest Tea plantation in Italy. From here, just a few kilometers distant we arrive in Vogogna for an authentically flavored lunch with its typical products from the Ossola Valley. This will be followed by a short visit to the Visconteo Castle, which was founded in the early 1000s as a military garrison for the entire valley and which houses valuable historical and war relics inside. At the end of the visit, return to Feriolo di Baveno, with a refreshing lakeside stop in the village of Mergozzo, followed by an aperitif or ice cream in the center of the village of Feriolo.
