h. 9.00 AM Meeting with a private licensed tourist guide at Stresa. Sweet tasting at a historical tea room based on local recipes with an expresso or a cappuccino. Transfer to Arona by private car/minivan. Second stop at “Luigi Guffanti 1876”, a leader concern for the most important Italian cheese ageing and ripening, such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino and Bitto as well as Gorgonzola and Bettelmatt, some local kinds. Guided tour to the cellars. At the end wine and cheese tasting and possibility of buying some local products. Then private transfer to Gattinara (about 1 hour's drive), a small ancient village become famous for the production of a typical red wine, the so-called “Gattinara DOCG”. Guided visit of the well-known Travaglini 1920 winery and tasting of 3 different wines with salami. Back to Stresa.
