A hot air balloon flight over Florence and the Chianti vineyards

You will meet your private licensed tour guide and a private driver in the lobby of your hotel in Florence. Transfer to the outskirts of the city and meeting with an expert hot air balloon pilot for a short safety briefing. You will hop onto the basket, silently ascend and fly for about 1 hour’s length from a 900 to 3,000 feet’s height.

During that experience, your guide will give you some interesting information about the Tuscan countryside, which is so famous for its gentle hills, rows of cypresses, Chianti vineyards and olive groves!
At the end of your flight, the hot air balloon staff will welcome you back with a glass of local red Chianti. Back to your hotel by private car/minivan.

NOTES

Meeting point: the meeting point with the tourist guide or the private driver will usually take place in the lobby of the Client’s hotel if it is in THE HISTORICAL CENTRE OF THE CITY WHERE THE TOUR STARTS. Please, let us know the name of your hotel.

In case the Client’s accommodation is distant from the historical centers or if you come from other departure places, different meeting points will be communicated after the confirmation of the tour.

Casual wearing, sports clothes and trousers, suitable and appropriate for the season, are suggested together with sneakers or trekking shoes; high heel shoes are not allowed. The temperature during the flight will be similar to the actual temperature on the ground.

Hot air balloon flights are subject exclusively to the weather forecast and the pilot himself is the only person who decides on taking off or cancelling the flight. The reasons for cancellation can be rain, strong winds, reduced visibility, too wet ground after rain, storms and so on. Sometimes the weather can suddenly improve but we always give the priority to the safety of the flight. The day before your flight booked, considering the latest weather forecast for the day, you will be contacted for the reconfirmation or the cancellation of your flight.

Passengers must not suffer heart diseases or have plastic limbs. Children must be aged at least 5 and 110cm tall. An extra charge will be applied to people overweighing 125 kg. Pregnant women are not allowed.

On demand: transfer to-from other cities by car/minivan; different number of participants (from 1 to 10 or more); special services for disabled tourists.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In case of cancellation of the reservation made by the buyer on the site, Travel-Lab/BookYourItaly will apply the following terms:

• Up to 21 working days prior to the start of the activity: full refund of the service paid by the buyer;
• From 20 to 10 working days prior to the start of the activity: 50% refund of the price paid;
• From 9 to 0 days prior to the beginning of the activity or non-use by the buyer of the service: no refund.

For counting the days the following rules apply:
• The day of the activity is not counted;
• The days begin at 00.00 and end at 24.00 hours in the time zone in force in Italy (GMT +1).

The reimbursement by Travel-Lab/BookYourItaly will be made within 30 working days by crediting the credit card used.
