A half day to be spent either in pairs or in a family group to discover the history, the art and the nature of the Ceno Valley in the Parma Apennines: you will discover the impressive Fortress of Bardi, the Landi Princes’ ancient residence and then a relaxing walk on horseback among easy panoramic paths to enjoy some marvelous landscapes, the sounds and scents of nature.
You will meet your local private guide at the Bardi Fortress for a guided visit of that stronghold, dating back to X century but then rebuilt between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance thanks to the Landi Dynasty from Piacenza that transformed it into a refined residence. The castle is famous for the legendary ghost of the knight Moroello, for its long rounds bays as well as its striking rooms, such as its kitchens and torture rooms.
At the end of your visit, transfer, by your own car, to a nearby riding school in order to approach the world of the tractable horses of Bardigiano breed and to ride along easy but satisfying paths.
As a happy ending of a day, spent between art and sport, you will enjoy a tasty aperitif based on local products in nature!
