Your walking tour starts in Piazza di Spagna, one of the most famous squares, the name of which comes from Palazzo di Spagna, the seat of the Spanish Embassy. There you cannot help climbing the imposing 135-step stairs in front of the Church of Trinità dei Monti and taking a photo of Fontana della Barcaccia, dating back to the early Baroque period and sculptured by Pietro Bernini whose son Gian Lorenzo was the more famous of the two.
