A full day to be spent either in pairs or in a family group to discover the history, the art and the taste of the Ceno Valley: you will discover the impressive Fortress of Bardi, the Landi Princes’ ancient residence and then a rural building: an ex- mill , a few meters from the Ceno River, where you will follow an easy cooking class based on local dishes, all to be tasted in a natural setting!
Meeting with the “resdora” at a former XIX century mill transformed into a country-chic b&b and farm for a cooking lesson based on easy recipes from the local tradition. The owner herself will teach you 3 simple recipes: the crocetti (fresh pasta), the famous herb or savoy cabbage Bardigiana-style pie and the so-called “standing milk” dessert.
At the end of your culinary experience, an aperitif in the cellar, once the underground premises of the mill mechanisms, and an exclusive lunch with the dishes previously prepared by yourselves are waiting for you!
In the afternoon you will drive your own car to the nearby Bardi Fortress. There you will meet your local private guide in order to visit that stronghold, dating back to X century but which was then rebuilt between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance thanks to the Landi Dynasty from Piacenza that transformed it into a refined residence. The castle is famous for the legendary ghost of the knight Moroello, for its long rounds bays as well as its striking rooms, such as its kitchens and torture rooms.
An unforgettable day to be spent in a corner of the Apennines, which few people know, between art and taste!

• The day of the activity is not counted;
• The days begin at 00.00 and end at 24.00 hours in the time zone in force in Italy (GMT +1).
The reimbursement by Travel-Lab/BookYourItaly will be made within 30 working days by crediting the credit card used.
