July 2018 will be remembered forever on Lake Como!
The well-known couple of Italian stylists Dolce & Gabbana, chose Como and Tremezzo for their breath-taking presentation of haute-couture collection.
The inspiration behind Dolce & Gabbana’s latest collection was The Betrothed (I Promessi Sposi), XIX-century novel by Alessandro Manzoni, considered to have established the foundations of modern Italian literature and which took place in those villages. This tribute to Italian culture focused the public’s attention on the most beautiful parks in the area: Teresio Olivelli botanical park, Villa Carlotta and Villa Olmo.
Lady Kitty Spencer, the late Princess Diana’ the niece, opened the show wearing a voluminous XVIII-century-inspired skirt and corset top, adorned with extracts and imagines from I Promessi Sposi. Among the 120 models parading for that Dolce & Gabbana show, we can mention: Helena Christensen, Ashley Graham and Naomi Campell.
